Jarritos Soda Review & Giveaway...

While I do try and get most of my daily liquid needs from water, I am a soda drinker at heart.  I love soda and always have.  I of course have my favorites but I am always looking to try new flavors so I was super excited to be approached by Jarritos.  Jarritos has been around for more than sixty years and was first introduced as Mexico's first national soft drink.  Today it is the number one Mexican soda in the US and is a Mexican cultural icon.  This soda comes in a distinctive glass bottle and comes in 12 (yes, 12!!) great fruity flavors and are a reflection of the flavors of Mexico.  I seriously could not wait to pop the tops off of these!

So, every night for nearly a week, my husband and I would each pick a flavor to try and then we would get to sample two.  Where to begin??  The variety of flavors is so much fun!  The first night I tried Mandarin and it was a DREAM!  It was not like your average orange soda...it was slightly more sweet but not too sweet.  It was really delicious.  While I was drinking it I was thinking it would be fantastic in an ice cream float...sort of like a creamsicle!  I was also a huge fan of the Pineapple which again, was sweet without being too much so, and such an original flavor for a soda.  I am now hooked.  My husband liked the Lime flavor the best and it was very crisp and refreshing.  The only one I did not care for (but my husband enjoyed) was the Jamaica.  It is said to have a hibiscus flavor but it just did not sit well with me.  This was the only one I did not really like though which is a pretty good ratio since I sampled 12!

I am now an offical Jarritos super fan!  It is fun to try something new and with 12 flavors you won't soon get bored!  I am going to definitely try my creamsicle idea with the mandarin and will probably try it with the strawberry too....yum!  You can find Jarritos at your local grocer as well as being able to purchase online here.
