I am like 99.9% of women out there....I think about food more often than I would like to and often it is in a negative way. I hate this about myself. I am always on the hunt for the new, fad that will magically make being thin easy and quick all while I am stuffing chocolate cake in my mouth. Reasonable, right?
As I mentioned, I love the idea of instant gratification with little or no work on my part and I am not often inspired to actually make a life change. Sad but true. This book speaks to me in a way other "diet" books never have. Actually, I don't want to call this a diet book because it really is not. This is a book about changing your lifestyle so you can have the things you love while still making healthy choices. We moms want to make healthy choices so we can be the best we can be for our kiddos but we also want some fun (cake!) too. Beth Aldrich shows you how to do this with weekly assignments (love this concept!) and fresh, easy to follow ideas. As I was reading this I felt like I was chatting with a good friend. Beth Aldrich IS a real mom so she knows the struggles and she knows how to address them. I have been putting some of Beth's ideas to work and I already feel better...REALLY!
